Euros per billed flight hour, before airport fees and passenger taxes: fees are added per leg and are included in the per-route prices on this site. Rates revised on 17 September 2026 against real operator offers. Range is the aircraft's: the calculator holds back 12% as reserve, so the usable leg is a little shorter, and it depends on load and wind.

Turboprop

The cheapest category, 8 seats, and airfields jets cannot use.

1 or 2 propellers, 6 to 8 seats, and a per-trip price just below a 4-seat very light jet's: the turboprop is the aircraft for short hops with 5 or 6 on board, Paris – Saint-Tropez, Geneva – Nice, Milan – Olbia, and for the short runways jets cannot use (La Môle, altiports, islands). It flies lower and slower: beyond 2.5 hours, a light jet saves an hour or more. We offer it up to about 900 nautical miles, close to 4 hours of flight.

Very Light Jet

The most economical jet for a short hop with 4.

The very light jet is built for short legs: Paris – Geneva, Nice – Milan, London – Paris. Compact cabin, 4 to 5 seats, 1 or 2 pilots depending on the operator. It uses small airfields closed to heavier jets and is the cheapest jet.

Light Jet

The standard for business flights in Europe.

6 to 7 seats, a proper hold, an enclosed lavatory: the light jet covers almost all of Europe in one go and stays very reasonable per hour. It is the usual choice on Geneva – London, Nice – Ibiza or Paris – Milan as soon as you exceed 4 passengers.

Super Light Jet

The light jet that goes further, with one more seat and a bigger hold.

Same idea as the light jet, one notch up: 7 to 8 seats, a hold that takes skis or golf clubs, and around 1,500 nautical miles in one go: this is the category that opens up the eastern Mediterranean, Paris – Antalya, London – Istanbul, Paris – Rhodes. Slightly more per hour than a light jet, clearly less than a midsize.

The midsize jet adds headroom, a cabin you can move around in and a more generous hold. 8 to 9 seats and about 5 hours of endurance: Paris – Athens, London – Cairo, Geneva – Istanbul in one go.

VIP Airliner

An airliner fitted out as a private cabin, for large groups.

ERJ 145 VIP, Lineage 1000, ACJ319 or BBJ: an airliner fuselage fitted out as lounge, dining room, office and bedroom, for 19 to 30 passengers depending on the layout (up to 50 in a dense configuration). It is the aircraft for delegations, tours and extended families travelling together, up to 6,000 nautical miles in one go. Fewer aircraft are available for charter than jets, so a longer lead time is common.

How to choose

2 criteria decide: the number of passengers with their luggage, and the distance of the longest leg. The calculator offers every category able to fly your route in one go, cheapest first; between 2 possible categories, the smaller is almost always right for a day flight, the larger for an overnight flight or a long stay.

Questions about the aircraft

Can I choose the exact aircraft model?

Yes, if an operator has one available on your date and near your departure. Within a category, staying open on the model lets us pick the best-placed, best-priced aircraft; the contract always names the aircraft and its registration before the flight.

How old are the aircraft?

It depends on the operator and the model. Age is not a safety criterion in itself: an aircraft maintained to its programme flies safely. If you want a recent aircraft or a refurbished cabin, say so at quote stage and the broker filters.

Is there a lavatory and Wi-Fi?

An enclosed lavatory from the light jet upwards, an emergency-style one on some very light jets. Wi-Fi is common from the midsize and near-systematic on heavy and ultra long range jets; it is stated on every quote, sometimes as a paid option.
